Compliments get competitive in Flatter Me, a new party game for friends, family, and partners.
Each of the 250 unique compliment cards includes a thoughtful sentiment to play or give away as gifts or used as an affirmations deck.
How to play:
Flatter Me is a game for two, played similar to the classic card game of War, but a battle of compliments! The goal is to receive the most compliments.
Start by splitting the deck evenly into two face-down stacks, one for each player.
- In each round, both players simultaneously reveal the card from the top of their stack.
- If your revealed card best suits your opponent’s personality, they take both cards. If their card best suits your personality, you get both!
- Tiebreakers: If both cards fit both players, or neither card is a good fit, draw three more cards and reveal the fourth. Winner takes all cards. Repeat until the tie is broken!
Once both stacks are gone, the winner is the player who received the most compliment cards.
Bonus: Flatter Me cards make great gifts of friendship and affection. Give them away to people who mean something to you!
Compliment Party Rules for 3-8 Players:
Flatter Me was originally designed as a game for two, but with these Compliment Party rules, you can play with 3 to 8 players! Start by placing all 250 cards face-up in a big pile for everyone to see.
- Every player discreetly takes a card from the pile with a specific compliment for every other player, and hands it to them face-down.
- Once everyone’s exchanged cards, shuffle the face-down compliment cards you’ve received, and then look at your full hand of compliments.
- Starting from the player with the closest birthday, players take turns guessing who gave them a specific compliment card. If you correctly guess who gave you the compliment, discard that card and go again. If you guess incorrectly, it’s the end of your turn and play continues clockwise.
The first player to correctly guess who gave them each compliment wins the game!
